Welcome to Rock-It Baseball Academy! We are dedicated to teaching Baseball and Life skills to kids of all ages - currently in the Colorado Springs, Colorado area.
We desire to partner with other youth programs in the Colorado Springs area to enhance their sports programs with our Sports Life Integration Curriculum (SLIC) and train coaches to maximize holistic player development.

Our long term plan includes leasing an indoor Baseball facility for year-round instruction and skill development, as well as utilizing the facility for SLIC training programs and local team rentals.

A student of baseball since the Bay Area Earthquake World Series in 1987, Coach Sparky has spent the last four years coaching Academy Little League teams focusing on age appropriate baseball and life skills development. Coach Sparky has coached beginner, intermediate, and All-Star players helping them reach the next level of play and development.
Beginning in 2000, Coach Sparky has been active in Little League, coaching in both California and Colorado, most recently serving on the Board of Academy Little League from 2005-2008. Since his initiation as a Little League T-Ball coach, he has dreamed of creating a baseball academy for kids, parents, and coaches that teaches age appropriate baseball and life skills that are tailored to each player's developmental ability. Coach Sparky resigned from the Board of Academy Little League to start Rock-It Baseball Academy in December 2008. He is dedicated to continuing to be a student of the game of Baseball.
In addition to his passion for baseball, Coach Sparky has served as Chaplain and Merit Badge Counselor for Boy Scout Troop 88. He is currently a Senior Member of Civil Air Patrol with Air Academy Composite Squadron serving as the Physical Training Specialist.
Coach Rob Jones
Coach Rob
Mr. Rob Jones, Instructor and Conditioning Trainer Coach Rob has been coaching youth and adult sports for over 20 years. He is a graduate of the Army's Master FitnessTrainer Program that covered topics such as muscle physiology, the oxygen transport system, sports medicine, weight training, speed work, and diet and exercise.
While at Academy Little League, Coach Rob served on the Academy Little League Board as the Player Agent. From 2003-2006, Coach Rob coached with the Academy Little League All-Stars. During those four years, Academy Little League All-Stars won 4 Colorado District 5 titles, and 3 Colorado State Little League Championships.
In 2008, Coach Rob served as Assistant Coach on Doherty High School's C Squad.
Coach Rob has a passion for teaching kids in a fun and rewarding environment. His son, Conner, plays for Doherty's Varsity Baseball team.
Coach Bob Kuzma
Mr. Bob Kuzma, Instructor and Trainer M.A. Sports Medicine
Bob Kuzma has a passion for teaching kids and keeping them healthy. Recruited out of High School by the pros, Bob played Catcher within the Cincinnati Reds organization. Bob is a registered Physical Therapist and has vast experience with sports injuries and rehabilitation, having supervised Athletic Trainers and treated professional athletes.
Bob coached baseball at USAF bases where he worked during his 20 years in the Air Force. Bob has specifically joined the Rock-It Baseball Academy staff to help develop High School level training programs for players who want to pursue College Baseball and beyond. Bob will be working with Catchers, helping them get noticed by Scouts. We will also tap Bob's wealth of experience in teaching Middle Schoolers as well.
